Craniosacral aims to improve the function of the craniosacral system, which includes the bones of the skull, spine, and pelvis, as well as the membranes and fluid surrounding and protecting the brain and spinal cord. This therapy is based on the idea that the body has an inherent ability to heal itself and that by restoring the natural balance of the craniosacral system, a wide range of physical and emotional symptoms can be alleviated.
Trauma from surgeries, accidents, and falls are held in the body as a cell memory and can cause pain and imbalance. The practitioner can help the client to resolve these issues and integrate mind, body, and spirit.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a safe and effective form of treatment for men, women, infants, and children. The session can be focused on a specific issue or issue or be an open session to discover what the body needs to resolve.
Afterward, many Clients feel more relaxed, with a greater sense of well-being, less pain, and a greater ability to handle life’s challenges.
It is a treatment used for a wide range of conditions and can be especially helpful in releasing birth trauma that we can hold in our bodies, even as adults.
While most people come for Craniosacral Therapy when they have been in pain for a while or have an injury or trauma. And while this is important to do, the very best time to experience BCST is when you are feeling pretty good, with no major issues. This is a wonderful time to try this special healing modality. When the system is traumatized or struggling in some way, it takes a while to bring it to a level of viability for healing.
If a client can begin at a pretty good starting point, the work can unfold easily, the process is very pleasant, and deep relaxation and profound healing can occur. I call this cranial magic.
